cold rolled non oriented transformer core steel Product Description

Cold-rolled non-oriented (CRNGO) electrical steel is a silicon-iron alloy that is cold-rolled to create a magnetic core with randomly oriented grains, resulting in consistent magnetic properties in all directions. Unlike grain-oriented steel, CRNGO is used in electrical components like motors and generators where the magnetic field changes direction, providing excellent mechanical and magnetic performance.
GNEE provides silicon steel in different categories in order to meet different needs. Generally there are 4 series of non grain oriented electrical steel: general series, high efficient series, stress relief annealing series and new energy vehicle series.
CRNGO electrical steel Key Characteristics
- Composition:
A ferrosilicon alloy with very low carbon content and 1.5% to 3.0% silicon.
- Grain Structure:
Grains are randomly distributed after annealing, providing uniform magnetic properties in any direction.
- Production:
Produced by cold rolling and annealing to reduce thickness and achieve final grain structure and magnetic properties.
CRNGO electrical steel Applications
Motors and Generators:
Its isotropic (uniform in all directions) magnetic properties make it ideal for the rotating cores of motors and generators.
Small Transformers:
Used in smaller transformers and other electrical equipment where the magnetic field changes direction.
CRNGO electrical steel Advantages
- Uniform Magnetic Properties:
Offers consistent magnetic performance regardless of the direction of the magnetic field.
- Good Mechanical Properties:
The cold-rolling process produces sheets with smooth surfaces, consistent thickness, and good flatness, which improves core fill factor.
- Improved Magnetic Performance:
Adding silicon increases electrical resistivity and maximum permeability, while reducing coercivity and core loss (iron loss).
- Reduced Strain Sensitivity:
CRNGO steel is less sensitive to the strain that can occur during stamping and processing compared to grain-oriented steel.
