Non-oriented silicon steel is mainly used in the manufacture of large motor and generator cores, and its main magnetic feature is that the iron loss is extremely low. Traditionally, its manufacturing is characterized by a silicon content of more than 2.5% and the addition of more than 0.2% aluminum to increase the resistance in the steel, thereby reducing the iron loss. Hot rolling, normalizing and cold rolling processes are carried out, and final annealing and coating of insulation are carried out.
