CGO Conventional Electrical Steel M3 M4 M5 M6 Product Description
CGO Electrical Steel, specifically the Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO) grades M3, M4, M5, and M6, are grain-oriented silicon steel used for the core material of transformers and generators.
These grades differ by their thickness: M3 is 0.23mm, M4 is 0.27mm, M5 is 0.30mm, and M6 is 0.35mm. The quality of CRGO steel is characterized by its low core loss, which is improved by thinner laminations.
CGO Conventional Electrical Steel Applications
The main application field of grain-oriented electrical sheet is the iron core of power and distribution (distribution) transformers. In addition, they are also used in the production of: current transformers, voltage transformers, medium and large high-efficiency generators, reactors, magnetic screens, wound cores, audio transformers, etc.
Electrical Steel M3 M4 M5 M6 Key Characteristics
- Low Core Loss: A key measure of CRGO steel quality, meaning less energy is wasted as heat.
- High Permeability: Makes the steel easier to magnetize.
- Low Magnetostriction: Minimizes changes in shape during magnetization.
CGO Conventional Electrical Steel specifications
We produce cold rolled grain oriented sheet (CRGO), also known as transformer sheet. They are made of 3% silicon steel. Contains four grades of CRGO sheet:
