Uses of oriented silicon steel

An important soft magnetic material in the military and electronics industries, mainly used as high-frequency transformers, high-power magnetic amplifiers, pulsed generators, general-purpose yoke coils, inductors, storage and memory elements, switching and control components, magnetic shields, and transformers operating under vibration and radiation conditions. Compared to other materials such as ferrites and amorphous materials, the core can be made small due to the high saturation magnetic inductance and high permeability of the 3% Si---Fe thin strip. Because it is cold-rolled strip, it has a flat surface, small difference with the plate, good plate shape, good processing performance, and can be made into iron cores of various shapes and specifications such as CD type, ring type and moment type, with a wide application field and a wide frequency range (50H-20KH).
