1. vs Silicon Steel C Core

 

Frequency & Loss: Nanocrystalline alloy C cores excel in medium-to-high frequency scenarios (50kHz–200kHz) with much lower iron loss, effectively reducing equipment heat. Silicon steel C cores only fit power frequency (50Hz–1kHz) and suffer sharp loss increases at higher frequencies.

 

Size & Cost: Nanocrystalline alloy C cores have higher magnetic permeability, enabling smaller size for the same power. Silicon steel C cores are cheaper but bulkier, suitable for low-cost, low-frequency, low-efficiency equipment.

 

2. vs Amorphous C Core

 

Performance: Nanocrystalline alloy C cores have lower high-frequency loss (15%–20% better energy efficiency) and higher Curie temperature, maintaining stable performance in temperature-fluctuating environments (e.g., outdoor energy storage).

 

Application: Amorphous C cores are used in general medium-to-high frequency devices (e.g., low-voltage inverters) for cost savings. Nanocrystalline alloy C cores suit high-demand scenarios like medical power supplies due to superior stability.

Power & Frequency: Nanocrystalline alloy C cores handle higher power at medium-to-high frequencies (thanks to higher saturation magnetic induction). Ferrite C cores fit ultra-high frequencies (100kHz–1MHz) but only support low power.

 

Loss & Cost: Ferrite C cores have lower loss at ultra-high frequencies and lower cost. Nanocrystalline alloy C cores are more competitive for medium-to-high frequency, high-power applications (e.g., energy storage PCS inductors).
