CRGO Transformer Silicon Steel Sheet Lamination Core Product Description

The core of the transformer made of silicon steel is because silicon steel itself is a magnetic substance with strong magnetic permeability. In the energized coil, it can generate a large magnetic induction intensity, which can reduce the size of the transformer.
CRGO steel has high electrical resistivity and high magnetic properties in the rolling direction. It reduces core losses in transformers and increases corrosion resistance. The core makes up the bulk of the transformer so the material used must be integral to the overall performance of the transformer.
The iron core of a transformer is laminated to reduce eddy currents. Eddy currents are the small currents that result from the changing magnetic field created by the alternating current in the first coil.
Material Properties
- High Magnetic Permeability: It exhibits excellent magnetic permeability along the rolling direction, enabling it to carry high magnetic flux density with low magnetizing force. This enhances the efficiency of transformers during electrical energy transmission and reduces energy loss.

The addition of silicon increases the material's electrical resistivity, and a specialized manufacturing process aligns the grains in a regular pattern, effectively minimizing energy loss in the core under alternating magnetic fields.
- High Electrical Resistivity: The incorporation of silicon significantly boosts the material's electrical resistivity, which helps reduce the generation of eddy currents, thereby lowering eddy current loss and improving transformer efficiency.
- Good Mechanical Properties: It possesses high mechanical elasticity, allowing it to withstand a certain degree of mechanical stress and vibration. This ensures the core maintains a stable shape and performance during transformer operation, extending its service life.
- High Degree of Orientation: Through a complex manufacturing process, the grains are highly oriented in a specific direction. This optimizes the material's magnetic properties significantly along that direction, meeting the demand for high-performance magnetic materials in transformers and other electromagnetic equipment.
