Today, we are pleased to present to you a case study of GNEE Transformer's 69 kV Substation Transformer Project. Our Thai client required a step-down transformer for their substation to be connected to the hydroelectric grid.
Southeast Thailand has a diverse climate with winter temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the transformer must operate seamlessly under these local weather conditions. The end user also had stringent requirements for the transformer's monitoring and protection system.
