GNEE New Material is pleased to announce a new tailored supply service for transformer spare parts – assemblies of magnetic laminations made from CRNGO (non‑oriented) and CRGO (grain‑oriented) silicon steel, precisely cut to customer designs provided in DXF, DWG, or other drawing formats.

With the global transformer market expanding due to grid upgrades and renewable energy integration, demand for high‑quality magnetic cores and replacement lamination assemblies is rising. GNEE New Material combines advanced cutting technologies, strict dimensional control, and finishing options to deliver reliable, performance‑optimized laminations for power and distribution transformers.

Materials & Thickness Options

We offer a full range of CRNGO and CRGO silicon steel grades. Available thicknesses include:

  • 0.23 mm – for high‑efficiency transformers
  • 0.27 mm – standard for many medium‑frequency designs
  • 0.30 mm – common in power transformers
  • 0.35 mm – for cost‑effective industrial applications

Other thicknesses such as 0.18 mm, 0.20 mm, 0.50 mm, and 0.65 mm are also available upon request. Thickness tolerances follow strict standards (typically ±0.005 mm to ±0.01 mm, depending on grade and thickness), ensuring consistent stacking factors and magnetic performance.

Cutting Methods & Tolerances

To match different volume and precision requirements, GNEE New Material offers several cutting technologies:

  • Laser cutting – ideal for prototypes, small to medium batches, and complex geometries. Typical dimensional tolerance: ±0.1 mm; tighter ±0.05 mm available. Low heat‑affected zone (HAZ) minimizes magnetic property degradation.
  • Punching / blanking – suitable for high‑volume production with cost efficiency. Standard tolerance ±0.1 mm; fine‑blanking options achieve ±0.05 mm or better.
  • Precision shearing – for simple rectangular or trapezoidal laminations with clean edges and minimal burr.

Customers can specify tighter tolerances (e.g., ±0.03 mm) for critical applications, subject to design review.

Finishes & Surface Treatments

Lamination performance depends not only on the core material but also on proper insulation and corrosion protection. GNEE New Material provides:

  • Organic insulation coatings (C‑grade) – thin, uniform, with high dielectric strength, widely used in oil‑filled transformers.
  • Inorganic coatings (e.g., magnesium phosphate or chromate‑free) – excellent heat resistance and weldability.
  • Surface passivation & anti‑corrosion treatment – especially recommended for CRNGO laminations used in humid or outdoor environments.
  • Edge deburring and stress relief annealing – optional for further reducing core losses.

All finishing processes comply with international standards (ASTM, IEC) and can be adapted to customer specifications.
