What are the materials of silicon steel and what are their uses?

Silicon steel is an alloy of ferrosilicon. The material of silicon steel is: iron-silicon soft magnetic alloy with very low carbon content and silicon content of 0.5% to 4.5%. Silicon steel can be divided into: hot rolled silicon steel strip (sheet), cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel strip (sheet), cold rolled oriented silicon steel strip (sheet), high magnetic induction cold rolled oriented silicon steel strip (sheet).

What are the materials of silicon steel and what are their uses?

The sheet rolled with silicon steel is the most widely used soft magnetic material in the electrical field, so the silicon steel sheet is also called the electrical steel sheet. Silicon steel sheets are widely used in motors, generators, transformers, chokes, electromagnetic mechanisms, relays and measuring instruments.

For example, in the motor industry, a large number of silicon steel sheets with a thickness of 0.35 ~ 0.50mm are used, and thin strip steel sheets of 0.05~0.20mm are commonly used in telecommunications high-frequency technology, mainly in order to more effectively reduce eddy current losses. Generally, the thickness of hot-rolled silicon steel sheet is 0.35 ~ 0.50mm, which is mostly used for large, medium and small AC and DC motors. Cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet thickness of 0.35 ~ 0.50mm, mostly used in large alternator, motor, large, medium, small AC, DC motor. Cold rolled single orientation silicon steel sheet thickness of 0.35mm, mostly used in power transformers, reactors, magnetic amplifiers and so on. Cold rolled single orientation thin strip thickness of 0.05 ~ 0.20mm, mostly used in radio high-frequency transformers.
