1. Product Overview Introduction
Silicon steel, also known as electrical steel, is a ferrosilicon soft magnetic alloy with extremely low carbon content. Generally, the silicon content is 1.0 to 4.5%. Silicon alloy steel with a carbon content of less than 0.08% is called silicon steel.
It has the characteristics of high magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and large resistivity, so the hysteresis loss and eddy current loss are small. Adding silicon increases the resistivity and maximum magnetic permeability of iron, reducing coercive force, core loss (iron loss) and magnetic aging.
Silicon steel is mainly used as magnetic material in motors, transformers, electrical appliances and electrical instruments. In order to meet the needs of punching and shearing when manufacturing electrical appliances, a certain degree of plasticity is also required. In order to improve the magnetic induction performance and reduce hysteresis loss, the content of harmful impurities is required to be as low as possible, and the plate shape is required to be smooth and the surface quality is good.

2. Performance requirement Performance requirement
The performance requirements for silicon steel are mainly:
① Low iron loss, which is the most important indicator of the quality of silicon steel sheets. Countries all classify grades according to the iron loss value. The lower the iron loss, the higher the grade;
② The magnetic induction intensity (magnetic induction) is high under a strong magnetic field, which reduces the volume and weight of the cores of motors and transformers, saving silicon steel sheets, copper wires, and insulating materials;
③The surface is smooth, flat and uniform in thickness, which can improve the filling factor of the core;
④ Good punching properties are more important for manufacturing micro and small motors;
⑤The surface insulating film has good adhesion and weldability, can prevent corrosion and improve punching properties;
⑥Basically no magnetic aging.
