Basic technical requirements for installation of transformer:
1. The transformer's high-voltage down lead and high-voltage bus must adopt copper core or aluminum core rubber insulated wire;
2. The different phase to phase distance of high-voltage bus, high-voltage down lead and drop out fuse must be less than 300 mm;
3. The distance between the low-voltage side line and the high-voltage down lead shall not be less than 150 mm;
4. It is strictly prohibited that the low-voltage line passes through the high-voltage down lead, and the sag of the lead up and down lead should be neat and consistent;
5. The transformer shell, circuit breaker, arrester ground wire and transformer low-voltage side zero line should be grounded together first;
6. The transformer platform should be kept horizontal and the height difference of diagonal line of the table should be less than 30mm.

As per IEC, the minimum breakdown voltage of transformer oil should be not less than 30 KV. The BDV of transformer oil does not depend on the voltage rating of the transformer. Minimum transformer BDV value for either 11 KV, 22 KV, 132 KV is the same. The minimum transformer oil BDV is 30 KV.
