The 50 KVA single-phase overhead pole-mounted distribution transformer with mild steel construction shall feature an impedance voltage not exceeding 2.5% and be equipped with support lugs (mounting brackets) for secure installation. The single-phase distribution transformer must include full-capacity high-voltage winding taps configured with one nominal tap at rated voltage plus four additional taps at 2.5% increments below rated voltage.

Inspection of distribution transformer before operation
1. Check the single-phase overhead type pole mounted mild steel distribution power transformer certificate; if the certificate exceeds two months, the insulation resistance should be retested.
2. Check the oil level and breathing hole of the distribution power transformer; there should be no oil leakage, oil leakage and good ventilation.
3. Check whether the high and low voltage insulation bushing and relevant lead wires are intact, and whether the screws are loose.
4. Whether the position of the voltage regulating switch is correct and whether the high and low voltage fuses are suitable.
5. Lightning protection shall be complete and grounding resistance shall be measured to be qualified.
6. There should be no abnormal phenomena in cables and busbars of the single-phase overhead type pole distribution power transformer.
