How to Select a dry type transformer?
Preliminary Investigation: Understand the power supply voltage at the power consumption location, the actual load, and the local environmental conditions, and select the dry type transformer by referring to the data on the nameplate.
Capacity Determination: Consider the capacity, voltage, current, and environment comprehensively. Determine the load according to the capacity, characteristics, and usage duration of the electrical equipment, and then select the capacity of the cast resin transformer. During normal operation, the load should preferably be 75 - 90% of the rated capacity. If the measured load is less than 50%, replace it with a cast resin dry type transformer of smaller capacity. If it exceeds the rated capacity, replace it with a larger transformer.
Voltage Selection: Determine the voltage of the primary coil according to the line power supply, and select the voltage of the secondary coil according to the electrical equipment. It is preferable to choose a low-voltage three-phase four-wire system to supply power for both motive power and lighting.
Current Consideration: Ensure that the load can meet the requirements of the motor during startup, as the startup current of the motor is 4 - 7 times that during operation.
