Electro galvanized steel is a type of steel that is coated with zinc for protection through the electroplating process. The zinc coating is applied to the cold-rolled steels at a low temperature. So EG steel is also known as cold galvanized steel. Through electrolytic galvanizing, it finally forms a uniform and dense zinc layer on the steel surface but still keeps the mechanical properties of the material. Electro-galvanized steel is often sold in coils or sheets form. EG coil is a kind of material, which can be sheared, slit, and profiled for other uses. The coil weight usually ranges from 3 to 8 tons. While EG sheet is a kind of finished or semi-finished product. You can use it directly or further process it for other uses.
